Ally family has been running "Mandalay Golden Myanmar Restaurant" on Edgware Road for over two decades. It is a very successful restaurant, having achieved many nominations for prestigious awards. Time Out recognised all the hard work and quality provided by awarding their 'Best Budget Meal' award to Mandalay in 1996.

Mandalay Restaurant is well known all over the world, receiving favourable reviews and write-ups at regular intervals. They appear in various magazines, food guides and even newspapers - from New York to New Delhi, Oslo to Tel Aviv, Tokyo to Auckland and many in between.

In 2009, Mandalay Burmese Restaurant was the winner of London's All Time Cheap Eats award by Time Out.
